About Us

Henry & Henry was founded after Mrs. Henry’s brother Walter struggled to find a suitable adult day program following his transfer to the Regional Center of the East Bay in 2004. Due to Walter’s seizures and declining health, Mr. Henry started a program tailored to support inclusion regardless of the level of disability.

Our program prioritizes social relationships by fostering a welcoming environment for participants. We promote interaction through group games, music therapy, arts and crafts, and community outings. Staff facilitate conversations to ensure inclusion. Skill-building activities like cooking demos and digital literacy classes enhance independence and teamwork. Cultural & Celebratory Events

  • National and international events are held throughout the year to celebrate diversity in the workplace and the community.

  • Birthday Celebrations are held at the end of each month.  On your day you will receive a personalized cake, lunch of your choice, and a gift card.

  • Holiday Celebrations are fun and engaging for all.  Every February 14, we celebrate Valentine’s Day with mock weddings. Annually, we host a pre-Thanksgiving luncheon.  Our special New Year’s event is held after hours.  We dress up, eat appetizers, and hit the town in a party bus or Limousine visiting scenic sites and taking pictures.

The program aims to help participants gain experience in tasks like landscaping, grounds maintenance, cleaning, sanitizing, floor care, and food service. Participants earn minimum wages, paid bi-weekly, and can receive on-the-spot performance rewards (in-house store bucks) for meeting or exceeding expectations.
